Audit & Accounts Senior

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for our friendly, growing, chartered accountancy practice based on the Wirral.

The successful candidate will be working on a diverse and interesting client base and will be provided with a designated portfolio reporting directly to partner level. 

The successful candidate is expected to have experience of leading statutory audits, be either ACA/ACCA qualified and have excellent communication skills.  The role will also be ideal for a candidate who has responsibility for preparing statutory accounts.  Other key attributes include a strong work ethic and commitment to service delivery, good IT and organisational skills and a proactive and self-starting attitude.

Client annual turnovers will typically range from £1m to £10 million across a number of sectors and junior staff will be available to provide support on all audit assignments.

Support and training will also be provided by our friendly, experienced partner team and through external training providers.

The key areas of responsibility for this position are:

  • Managing audit and accounts assignments
  • Responsibility for planning, fieldwork and completion
  • Running a portfolio of clients
  • Managing junior staff
  • Dealing with and managing client relationships
  • Completion of statutory accounts for a range of clients and sectors

Experience of charity audits/independent examinations and SAR audits and/or using CCH audit and accounts production software is a benefit.

The role will be principally based at our offices but, as and when required, work will also be undertaken at our clients’ offices.

Hours - Full time based on 37.5 per week but part time hours considered. Flexible working hours also offered.

Salary - Up to £Market rate pro rata (depending on experience).  25 days holiday pro rata plus bank holidays, discretionary bonus arrangement and parking space.
