Client accounts manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for our friendly chartered accountancy practice on the Wirral.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, or qualified by experience, with at least four years working in practice. They will also have a strong work ethic and be committed to delivering the best service to their clients and the firm.  The role requires good IT skills, excellent organisational and communication skills and a proactive and self-starting attitude.

Support and training will be provided and the role will report directly to the Partners of the firm.

The key areas of responsibility for this position are:

  • Managing and maintaining regular contact with a portfolio of clients
  • Managing client reporting deadlines for accounts and tax
  • Producing and reviewing limited company and sole trader accounts
  • Producing and reviewing personal and corporation tax returns
  • Assisting clients with ad hoc project and strategic work where required

Experience of using Xero and CCH also considered a benefit.  Past audit experience would also be a benefit as there would be the opportunity to assist with a limited number of audits.

The role will be principally based at our offices but, as and when required, work will also be undertaken at their clients’ offices.  Due to Covid-19 our staff are currently working from home with typically 2 days a week spent in the offices, which have appropriate distancing and other practices in place.

Salary: £ Market rate, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Package includes:  25 days annual leave, discretionary bonus arrangement, pension and commission on new work brought in to the firm.

Hours – Either full time (37.5 hrs per week) or part time hours (24 hrs upwards per week) considered. Flexible working hours offered.
